Who Are Balmoral Executive Travel

In 1998, husband and wife team Gary and June Voy set up Timberbush Tours, in order to take a couple of passengers on a tour up to Oban. From this, the company expanded. More passengers were coming along for an adventure, more tours were added, they acquired more vehicles, and of course, some of the best guides around.

Over the years, the company continued to grow and is now one of Scotland’s biggest and longest running coach tour operators, having been in business for over 25 years. Whilst they have always offered a range of scheduled tours departing daily from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness and covering every corner of Scotland from Applecross to Alnwick in the north of England, they also offer Private Tours and Coach Hire services.

With their Private Tour service, customers are able to get a coach and driver-guide all to themselves and curate their dream tour, or even just hire the coach to get them from A to B. Their coaches range from 10 to 53 seats so there is something for every group size. For Coach Hire, they are able to offer the coaches for corporate events, team building days, or even Presidential motorcades. 

However, from time to time, 10 seats was just a bit too much.

Born of a want to give the customers a service with a touch more luxury and privacy, Balmoral Executive Travel was introduced, with son Ben taking the reigns. Ensuring that Timberbush Tours and Balmoral Executive Travel remain very much family-run businesses. Balmoral makes good use of the wealth of knowledge, professionalism, and wisdom that has come from over 25 years of touring with Timberbush Tours and infuses that into every fibre of the Balmoral experience. Ensuring that all of our chauffeurs are highly trained, and by having the expert itinerary planners of Timberbush Tours come on board to curate dream tours for our guests.

With our range of top-of-the-range Mercedes-Benz vehicles: the S-Class, E-Class, V-Class, and the GLE we have a suitable vehicle for any group size and you can expect the utmost in luxury and comfort. 

As Timberbush are our sister company, should you ever need a vehicle for a larger group, we may be able to use Timberbush coaches to fulfil the requirements. All of the vehicles are continually maintained and looked after in our in-house garage and each is replaced regularly to ensure they are as eco-friendly, comfortable and safe as possible.
